Pocket Finished

The pocket present is prepared to be given to his following owner. It's a size for cigarettes and some money, eventually a mobile phone or so. I hope he'll like it!

Pocket Sewing

I've already finished the embroidery on the cover. The borders will be decorated by a stitch that I invented :-) It's double faced, so it's the same inside as outside the pocket.

Draping the pocket seemed difficult to me, but finally I remembered a technique of compromise, that helps me a lot when I'm lost. You must pin the edges to edges of the other textile, then find a half and pin it to the middle of the other one. Then find a middle in each part you created now and repeat until the end.

Ladybirds

This is a Xmas present that I made for my good friend. Sometimes I call her Ladybird, so it's on this toppis. I got the pattern from czech page Náramky and I find it simply genial.

Bird T-Shirt

I admit that I spend a lot of time surfing on the Net. And as we have a very, very slow connection, I spend a lot of time, as well, waiting for the sites to load. I decided to use these pauses - I took a needle and thread, plain T-shirt and some beads and take a look at what came out of it.

I didn't draw anything. I wanted to make a bead embroidery as a painting. I wanted to create some ornamental picture, but as it continued this flying bird (peacock?) appeared:-)

I'd just like to comment that beading on a stretch was not such a good idea, as it expands and doesn't hold the shape. Maybe adding some non-stretch fabric on the wrong side when making embroidery could work next time..

Pocket Embroidery Finished

So here it is. The emboidery took much time, I'm not used to do it and this is my first embroidery project for a long long time. The last one I even didn't manage to finish, I gave up in a half:-)

I did it on the embroidery circle. The fabric looks natural, it should fit to my boyfriend's village costume.
